Homemade sweet potato chips are actually very easy to make. What makes this recipe different to most is that they are crispy! Follow this recipe and you will at the end have crispy, golden and delicious sweet potato chips that your whole family will beg you to make again!

Ingredients

  • 900g sweet potato (raw)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • Sea salt / Herbamare (optional to taste)

Instructions

  1. Line two baking trays with non-stick paper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade.
  3. Wash and dry the sweet potatoes, and slice them into 1/4 inch thick chips lengthwise.
  4. Add them all to a bowl and then drizzle the oil over them and give the raw sweet potato chips a good mix to ensure they are evenly coated.
  5. Now, add the tapioca flour and ensure all the raw sweet potato chips are evenly coated.
  6. Divide the raw sweet potato chips between the two baking trays.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the sweet potato chips are cooked and slightly golden. Turn them at this point and cook for another 5-10 minutes or until crispy on the edges.
  8. Sprinkle with sea salt to taste, or Herbamare (optional).
