If you are looking to achieve super soft, sexy summer skin – then you have come to the right place!

After trying this completely organic and natural body scrub / polish ‘Do It Yourself’ recipe and seeing how amazing my skin felt – I had to share it with my readers! Best of all, it is very quick and easy to make. Plus most products are available from your local health food shop.

*** WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DIY ***

  • 1 x 250g bag of organic coconut sugar (I used Biona’s)
  • 1 cup of organic olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of purified water
  • 15 drops of organic lavender oil
  • 5 drops of organic tea tree oil
  • 6 tablespoons of organic Himalayan rock salt coarse
  • 1 x empty and clean glass jar with a lid that fits tight when closed
  1. First, mix the essential oils in the glass of purified water. This helps dilute the essential oils so they are not too harsh on your skin
  2. Next, mix all of the ingrediets together in your jar.
  3. Replace the lid, and use a spoon or a clean hand to scoop it out onto slightly wet skin when you are in the shower or bath.
  4. Rub the scrub vigourously over the whole body, taking care not to go over areas where there is a scar or an open wound trying to heal.
  5. Rinse and enjoy soft silky skin!

For those of you with sensitive skin, simply avoid adding the essential oils or reduce the amount of drops and see how you get on with this scrub then.

Either way, know matter your type of skin, you will find a way to actually enhance the way your skin looks on the outside and both can get the benefits of sloughing off the dead skin cells. Which is what happens when you use a the right kind of gentle bodyscrub on your skin. Infact removing deadskin cells is what all of us need to do, at least once a week to help our skin glow. Because if we do not, then the dead skin cells begin to create a thick layer that gives skin a lifeless and pale look.

Apart from this not being very attractive, not removing the thickened dead cell layer can be bad for yourself. Research shows it can cause dehydration, poor oxidation, sluggish circulation, formation of blemishes, and rough, unevenly textured skin.

This why I suggest paying particular attention to your bum and thigh areas that get neglected and cause cellulite from little to no movement throughout the day. Using a body scrub in these areas will help improve circulation which is believed to be the biggest direct reason that a breakdown of the connective fibers happens, and causes cellulite.

Enjoy ladies and gents (as this scrub is suitable for you both), and do let me know below how you like my DIY organic coconut sugar body scrub for soft summer skin!
