We are always being told to drink plenty of clean, purified water everyday if we want to be healthy. But what we are not always told is warm water is far better for you than drinking cold water, especially if you suffer with constipation.

Cold water simply shocks the body, specifically the bowels which use water to help transport nutrients and then the waste out of our body. This ‘shocked’ sensation will cause the bowels to clam up if you like and hold onto whatever is in there. So you can see why this is not going to help anyone who struggles to empty their bowels on a daily basis, and may be constipated.

Going less than twice a day means you are constipated. So my best advice for everyone, including those who are not constipated but simply want an even better elimination of toxins daily from their bowels, is to drink as much body temperature warm water as they can each day. Remember never drink more than 2 glasses of water in any one hour as you risk causing kidney damage, and flooding the brain which could cause brain damage.

Try starting your day off with one glass of warm body temperature water (37 degrees centigrade) to help increase your bowel movements. This will help to tell your bowels its OK to let go of what it is holding onto, and will relax the muscle and increase peristalsis in those that need it. I will simply do this by filling a glass of water from my purifier three quarters of the way and topping it up with freshly boiled water.

Its logical if you think about it, as whenever you heat something up you increase the speed at which something travels, the same applies to the bowels. If you freeze something, you got it, you slow things down hence why drinking cold water is not good for anyone who is constipated or even slightly constipated and going less than twice a day.

Your body also uses up more energy to increase the speed of metabolism when it drinks cold water to create heat. By drinking warm water you are not forcing the body to do extra work, and in fact are giving it a helping hand and letting it get on with more important jobs such repairing muscle or tissue damage to vital organs, reducing inflammation that may be present, or building new hormones.

Drinking warm water instead of cold on a daily basis is one of the simplest and safest ways you could help relieve your constipation, or go about helping your body to remove more toxins daily.
